Your potential final settlement checklist

A gratuity figure is rarely the whole picture. Here's what this estimate includes, what it doesn't, and why — so you know what else to check before you sign anything.

Statutory estimate — not a legal determination
This calculator provides an estimate based on the information entered and the applicable statutory rules represented in this tool. Employment contracts, special employee categories, court decisions, regulatory updates and individual circumstances may affect the final amount. For a legally binding determination, consult the relevant labour authority or a qualified legal professional.
    Plain English

    Understanding your result

A gratuity figure looks like one intimidating number. It comes from four simple things.

    Your basic salary
Almost every GCC country calculates gratuity on your basic wage only — housing, transport and other allowances are excluded.
    Your length of service
Counted in complete years, months and days between your start date and your last working day.
    The applicable rate bands
Most countries pay a lower number of days per year for the first few years, then a higher rate afterwards.
    Any legal caps or exceptions
Some countries cap the total payout, or reduce it if you resign before a minimum period — we apply the right rule automatically.
